Art & culture is outcome of many culminations among the races and it is significantly one single expression that grooms the unity in diversity. Political turnovers can not destroy culture. Similarly it also can not create one. Cultures are created through people's interaction. There are basically two parts as follows:


(a) Aristocratic culture	(b) Folk culture

Usually aristocratic culture is prone to changes, fashion trends & it is heavily inspired also. It is labled as progressive culture. Folk culture is essentially inspired by chivalry, beauty, communal harmony, philosophy & enterprises. Folk culture is mirror image of equalities, hospitality, religion, beliefs, love for nature, cottage industries, stories & dances, music & folk tales.

India the country of many languages, many centuries & equally numerous kingdoms with salient anciently has dazzling variety of folk culture. It is necessary to understand the fineries of it and incomplete manner so that when it is performed it further takes you on a magical journey of the time told in the legend

Folk culture lured us to establish the group called Spandan. We called some sincere like minded people in 1989 and formed Spandan. Literary meaning heart beat. Because we found, that most honest way to love culture should be as constant as everybody's heart beats. It Specializes in folk dances, ballets, dramas, music, films or entertainment events dedicated to folk art of India and specific to folk art of Gujarat.
